4. Using overdraft protection.

Overdraft protection is an effective precaution and an excellent financial management tool.  Overdraft protection might be right for you if:

  • You shop with your Client Card;
  • You have arranged pre-authorized debits from your transaction account;
  • You want to avoid the inconvenience and costs involved with NSF cheques;
  • You don’t want Client Card purchases declined.

Overdraft protection makes sure you have cash by drawing funds from one of your other banking products that has sufficient funds (transfer includes $5 fee).

With your authorization, overdrafts are covered by cash transfers from one of your other transaction accounts, your personal line of credit, or a direct cash advance from your MasterCard.

By signing up for this service, you can avoid overdrafts by providing the necessary funds to cover cheques, electronic money transfers, Client Card purchases, withdrawals, transfers and bill payments at ABMs or through TelNat agents.

Choosing Overdraft Protection

With a line of credit, added liquidity, and overdraft protection, our Virtuoso package®4, 1 puts between and $500 and $5,000 at your disposal.  This makes unexpected expenses more manageable.
